Time and Space

Infinity - howling black space,
Annihilation comes,
Darkling echoes the human race;
Soul of the universe thrums.

Time ebbing and flowing in waves,
Expanding, retreating,
Each life following as a slave;
Unending, repeating.

Back and forth the symphony plays,
Cares naught for love nor hate,
Untold lives stuck in nature’s craze;
Grinding millstones of fate.

The majesty of vastness seen,
By one man’s waking sight,
Ruthless truths of the endless gleaned;
A brutal, grievous plight.

Spinning circles outside control,
Forces unseen, far flung,
Human brains cannot bear the toll;
A simple mind unstrung.
