Starcrossed

She whispered, "Don't go, just stay."
Such a thing would be easy
But my appetite hungers
Glory, Purpose, Victory
She wants comfort and peace time
A weak globalized planet
She's afraid to let me lead
Lead her to purpose and joy
Thew, Family, Homeland
Create against Modernity
By kindling the ancient fire
I stoke the coals alone now
And smile as I see flames grow
